TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Coordinating research, planning and developing effective programs and relationships with key political decision makers and opinion leaders. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and assessing major policy trends of importance to the business, as well as the external stakeholders that are advancing them. Monitor, track and assessment of political developments, legislative initiatives and the activities of government departments, institutions, think-tanks, non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Avoid harmful regulation through the implementation and coordination of the Public Policy Response Groups (with legal, regulatory across all divisions). Implement the National Policymaker Communication Program, including developing communication materials (presentations, handouts, infographics, etc). Develop company positions on public policy issues, including perspectives from the relevant internal stakeholders (regulatory, legal, sales, marketing, market access, etc). Partner with State & Local Public Affairs coordination for advocacy and lobbying efforts in State Congresses. Support the business in Issue/Crisis preparedness/management.

 

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

University degree (Law, Public Administration, Political Science). Desirable master’s degree (Communications, Public Policy).Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Public Affairs, Government or similar. Fluent English and strong verbal and oral communication skills.Knowledge of Legislative process, public administration, Compliance. Political experience at the local or regional level. Strong political and administrative network. Communications strategy and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management & staff.
