Description
The Public Affairs Coordinator reports to the Public Affairs Market Manager and performs detail-oriented, coordination work for a variety of department operations and initiatives across multiple geographies (PA, OH/MI & NY). The chief function is to support the execution of bank charitable contributions, grant making, volunteerism, meetings/events, and overall community outreach activities in the markets. The position requires a creative, organized and energetic professional with strong communication skills. The individual must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide support for local charitable contributions and grant making activities including: track applications and impact reports; liaise with organizations for additional information as needed; and prepare grant materials for review.Support communications including drafting market event summaries, source and draft local community impact stories and identify appropriate photos for communications. Maintain calendars and internal communications to keep colleagues informed of community events in their local markets.Support and/or lead the coordination of internal meetings including schedule and support development of meeting materials including briefings, agendas and day of logistics coordination. Support partner community events including managing invitations and RSVPs for colleague participation.Coordinate event branding assets such as logos, banners/digital signage, program ads, videos, giveaway items, and other logistics as needed. Coordinate and execute local colleague engagement (volunteer) programs; work with local Market Managers to identify, track and manage local colleague volunteer opportunities including skills-based opportunities. Liaise with non-profit partners on details and execution of opportunities.Strict adherence to corporate risk and compliance guidelines and policies to ensure favorable audit results.Experience & Skills
Minimum 1-3 years of corporate communications, marketing and/or non-profit experienceStrong writing, verbal, and problem-solving skills; must be able to effectively anticipate issues and problem solve when matters ariseDemonstrated critical thinking skills understanding of the nature of various initiatives and their impact on overall corporate objectivesAbility to execute against strategy and drive results; demonstrated creative thinkingStrong time management and organizational skills; solid work ethicAbility to effectively manage multiple, changing prioritiesAbility to plan, implement and manage all aspects of complex projects to successful completionAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamComputer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel preferred)Education & Certificates
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related fieldHours & Work Schedule
