Kimley-Horn is looking for a Public Engagement Specialist in the St. Paul, Minnesota (MN) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities Creating content for in-person and/or online communications and engagement activities including but not limited to:talking pointsweb contentsocial media messagingconstruction notificationspresentationsdisplay boards and handoutsother similar communication and engagement materialsThe ability to self-check for quality as part of our QC processCreate, edit and produce public-facing documents and communications contentSupport the development and facilitation of events, including public open houses, workshops, public hearings, neighborhood meetings, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, virtual meetings, conferences, one-on-one meetings, stakeholder meetings, and other public eventsDevelop reports, documents, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Suite applicationsBalance and manage multiple tasks and priorities with ease Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the field of urban planning, communications or a related field or related degree1+ years’ experience communicating and engaging with the public during the planning, design or construction phases of public infrastructure and/or transportation projects. Entry level candidates with intern or other applicable experience will be considered.Experience in preparing communications and engagement materialsStrong written and oral communication skillsCommitment to producing high quality work, with an emphasis on attention to detailExperience with MS Office software suiteSelf-motivated team playerAbility to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and provide clear direction to other team membersFlexibility to travel to other cities and office locations as needed for projectsFamiliarity with multiple cultures and diverse perspectives is a plus

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
