2025 Working in Science Internship Program at AstraZeneca (July – September)

The Internship Program at AstraZeneca is aimed at graduates and students of the last years of universities who want to use the knowledge gained during their studies in practice. This is an opportunity to raise your professional qualifications in one of the most innovative global biotechnology companies.

The program is dedicated to people who didn’t participate in previous editions.

The mission of the PAGA team (Public Affairs & Government Affairs) is to strengthen the image of AstraZeneca as a supplier of innovative therapies and to position the organization as socially responsible, supporting Polish science and being an attractive employer. The PAGA team aims to show AstraZeneca as a preferred partner in building public-private partnerships, supports communication projects and develops cooperation with key internal or external groups, such as sales teams, external charities, industry associations, embassies, government lobbyists and regulators. As part of the PAGA team, we conduct research and analysis of national and EU legislation and policy in the field of healthcare system. We also actively support AstraZeneca's initiatives by cooperating with various departments within the organization. Through this collaboration, we enhance AstraZeneca's operations from a systemic perspective, which is a crucial aspect of the PAGA team's work.

Requirements:

Higher education required - Bachelor's/Master's degree or current enrollment in studies. Preferred fields: Political and Social Sciences, Law, Communication, Public Health, Sociology, Journalism or a related field.Fluent English and Polish.On-site availability in Warsaw office at least 3 times a week.

Required skills:

Interest in the Polish healthcare system & understanding of the policy shaping process both on local and the EU level.Research skills.Awareness of the media ecosystem, including digital environment.Ability to verify information.Writing skills (press releases, official documents, formal letters).Content creation for social media.Soft Skills: Ease of communication, openness to others, ability to work in a team, creativity.Work Experience (optional): Previous experience, such as internships in PR agencies, lobbying agencies, public institutions, law firms, or in communication/Public Affairs departments of other companies.Experience in working in state and healthcare institutions will be an advantage. ​

Posting is closing 31st of March 2025. All submitted applications will be verified by us and assessed based on the objective criteria. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to introduce and present themselves using HireVue - a tool that allows to send answers to recruitment questions in the form of video recordings. On the final stage of the process, you will remotely meet the recruiting team consisting of representatives of a given department. At the end of April, we will announce a list of people for whom this year's internship program recruitment process was successful.

The internships will start in July and last from 3 months.

We work in a hybrid scheme, be prepared to work partially office based.
