This position will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling outreach activities and social media. They will develop, oversee and implement the Outreach Plan for the WIC program. They will serve as the liaison between WIC internal/external partners, including grocery stores, health care partners and community programs, actively fostering a positive relationship with community partners. They will Implement, coordinate and monitor WIC mobile services as well as promoting name recognition and awareness of WIC in the community. This position will use various media resources to heighten visibility of WIC and will work with department PIO to develop appropriate messaging, that promotes WIC. This person will also be responsible for developing and facilitating presentations to groups on request and as needed, gathering, analyzing, compiling and maintaining statistical data.
Grant Funded Position This position is grant-funded, meaning its financial support comes from allocated funds that may be modified, reduced, or canceled at the discretion of the City of Austin or the grant provider.
