The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) is responsible for the mental and physical well-being of the community by ensuring the public’s health through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and education. They can work in a variety of institutions such as the community, hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities while collaborating with state regulators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to keep the community safe and healthy.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Nursing Licensure in the state practicing Two (2) years of public health or community experience Strong background/experience in communicable disease control efforts Strong communication/phone interviewing skills Experience with case management and contact tracing Ability to easily document in a web-based platform Experience working with medical data and records?
