Public Health Prevention Specialist

The Public Health Prevention Specialist oversees theplanning and implementation of Public Health Prevention programs. Primary responsibilities include oversight ofassigned program policy and programmatic, administrative, and evaluationcomponents. The Public Health PreventionSpecialist may be responsible for working with other programs in the Departmentof Public Health Department of Health Services (DHS), Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC) and other public agencies and communityorganizations.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Licensed as RN or LPN/LVN in state practicing
+ Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field requiredif not licensed RN/LPN/LVN
+ Advanced Public Health Nursing Certification (PHNA-BC)preferred
+ Master’s Degree from a graduate school with specializationin public health or a related field preferred
+ Two (2) years of public health or related field experiencerequired
+ One (1) year of highly responsible and complexadministrative staff experience preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
