This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. The coordinator will also provide support and resources to other Examples of Duties • Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Program Manager to monitor and evaluate the implementation and progress of the Opioid Settlement program and related initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements. • Assist in developing and managing timelines, performance metrics, and deliverables to ensure program objectives are met effectively and on schedule. • Prepare comprehensive and regular program reports on project progress, outcomes, and challenges for review by the Manager and Director. • Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate and schedule behavioral health outreach activities to maximize community engagement and resource distribution. • Assist/monitor client/consumer follow-up as it relates to case management and client service referrals. • Actively participate in community meetings and coalition activities to represent the organization and build collaborative partnerships. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) prevention and treatment providers to strengthen the referral network and enhance service delivery. • Oversee the ordering, maintenance, and distribution of harm reduction supplies, ensuring adequate stock and proper utilization. • Othe duties as assigned by program manager or director. Knowledge and Skills Required: • Understanding of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery principles. • Familiarity with harm reduction strategies and best practices in substance use disorders care. • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to substance use and mental health. • Strong Project Management skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools. • Knowledge of mental health/behavioral health • Community resources • Knowledge of substance use disorders Ability To: • Work effectively in a team-based, flexible workforce with minimal supervision. • Maintain regular and reliable attendance. • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. • Direct team activities or to work as a team member. • Attend trainings, outreach events, and meetings. • Perform work related duties as assigned. • Ability to work evenings and weekends. • Ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to manager difficult clients/consumers • Articulate professionally with clients/consumers in person, by phone and email • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree Public Health, Business Administration, Health Science Administration or other related field, with two years experience in community engagement, community organizing, and project coordination and implementation. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted to meet the education and experience requirement of this position.
