Under supervision participates in the administration of a comprehensive TB Control program. Performs administrative and field work necessary to attain program objectives of the Global Tuberculosis Institute, organizes office and field work to attain immediate and overall program objectives, identifies case-related public health problems and develops effective work methods.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Conducts TB interviews and contact investigations. As assigned conducts and properly documents all field work to ensure appropriate follow-up with cases, contacts and interjurisdictional and immigration referrals for the prevention, treatment and control of TB transmission. Prepares and submits timely and accurate NJDOH surveillance forms. Participates in all scheduled or unscheduled work reviews of current assignments by preparing clear, sound, accurate and informative patient updates containing findings, conclusions and recommendations. Utilizes various types of electronic and or manual recording and information systems used by the program for the necessary monitoring of an assigned case-load including spreadsheets, database, and electronic heath records.
