The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy Team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. We are looking for a passionate, authentic, and highly motivated Public Policy professional to join our EMEA team and work alongside colleagues representing LinkedIn with key stakeholders in Brussels. As LinkedIn’s Public Policy & Economic Graph Manager, you will work with colleagues to actively influence public policy on some of the most pressing issues around technology and the future of work. You will represent the company with EU policymakers and officials as well as contribute towards our broader global policy strategies and campaigns.
Based in Brussels, you will also work with a cross-functional team of LinkedIn employees across the globe as well as with leaders across the company to advance policy positions that benefit our members and help accomplish our mission and vision.
** Responsibilities **
+ Support the execution of our public policy and government affairs strategy that enables LinkedIn to pursue its vision, mission, and business strategy;
+ Support colleagues in representing LinkedIn externally with external stakeholders and build positive relationships with these third parties;
+ Work with industry partners, non-profit groups, and other policy influencers to promote and build support for LinkedIn;
+ Actively monitor relevant policy and regulatory proposals and assist in formulating strategies, in collaboration with colleagues, to help shape outcomes;
+ Prepare executive communications about policy developments and engagement plans for senior- and executive management;
+ Work closely with LinkedIn’s global and regional teams in achieving our global public policy and government affairs goals;
+ Engage proactively with policymakers to highlight LinkedIn’s impact on the EU economy and its vision of its Economic Graph.
**Basic Qualifications: **
+ 3+ years experience in the EU digital tech policy space with regulatory and/or political engagement expertise
**Preferred Qualifications: **
+ Fluency in German
+ Knowledge of online safety and AI policies and prior experience of engaging with policymakers and other external stakeholders on these issues
+ Experience in producing briefing docs, consultation responses and white papers
+ Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
+ Exceptional written and oral communications skills
+ Ability to partner and collaborate across teams in a multinational organization
