The Office of Communication has an opening for a Public Records Request Coordinator (Government Liaison Specialist classification). This position will support the Department in its relations with the public and act as a liaison. The primary emphasis of this position is public record requests (PRR), while also assisting with record retention.
Public record requests are increasing exponentially. As a Department that touches every Idaho resident's life, this business area is even more impactful. This position will address this growing need by ensuring proper processing and fulfilling of public record requests.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service, works well in a team-based atmosphere, is a self-motivated problem-solver, and is highly organized.
Example of Duties
+ Coordinate the agency's PRRs.
+ Understand and follow the Idaho Public Records rules and procedures.
+ Conduct training for and support work necessary for PRR's throughout the agency and district offices.
+ Assist with managing projects and stakeholder meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Some knowledge of:
+ Training methods
Good knowledge of:
+ State and federal laws and regulations regarding the confidentiality and safeguarding of citizen and governmental information
Experience:
+ Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations and complex policies
+ Developing and making presentations before groups
+ Preparing narrative reports
+ Conducting fact-finding interviews
+ Composing business letters and documents
MQ Specialties:
+ Some positions may require knowledge of tax information protection and confidentiality requirements.
