The position
This position directly reports to the Director of Corporate Affairs, Patient Access & Sustainability Director. In this role, you will oversee both public relations and external communications, ensuring a cohesive and impactful approach to engaging with both the media and the broader public, with a specific emphasis on disease areas and promoting the company's value proposition. The main scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to:
External Communications Strategy: Develop and articulate the affiliate external communication vision, strategy, and goals in alignment with the overall business objectives. Provide strategic counsel to the executive leadership team on external communication matters and reputation management. Public Relations & Media Relations: Champion and coordinate the creation and advancement of strong relationships and partnerships with relevant partners such as policymakers/advisors, policy advocacy groups, clinical authorities, and professional societies, particularly in the context of disease-specific engagements and the company's value positioning. Devise and execute strategic media engagement plans to enhance the company's visibility, reputation, and brand positioning. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries. Create and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to enhance the company's visibility and brand image, emphasizing disease-specific initiatives and the company's value proposition. Communication: Plan and Lead implementation of affiliate communications programmes. Provide consultancy service and advice in connection with projects and activities across the affiliate that affect communications. Develop multi-year communications engagement plan and actively drive programmes to engage patients and raise Novo Nordisk profile in the media through media and other platforms. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in close collaboration with Internal communications manager and other internal teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and public affairs, to ensure coordinated messaging across all communication channels aligned with business objectives, and the company's overall messaging. Other tasks; media training & monitoring, communication training, budget management, corporate messaging, etc.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public Relations, journalism, marketing, or related fields. Minimum of 7 years’ work experience in public relations, external communications, or a related field, with a specific focus on disease-specific communications, awareness campaigns, and promoting company value. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate disease-specific information and the company's value proposition effectively. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, including disease-specific initiatives and value-focused campaigns. Vietnamese native speaking is required with good English communication.Working at Novo Nordisk
