To safeguard Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and other Tribal property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing escorts, public safety functions, and emergency medical calls as follows
Essential Officer Responsibilities Include Provides general public safety services for the protection of tribal members, tribal property, guests, and employees. Performs all Public Safety Officer duties as needed. Safeguard money, chips, and assets transported to and from the gaming facility, video facsimile, and cashier/cage departments. Inspect assigned areas for public safety and/or safety breaches and report any potential situations to the supervisor. Informs emergency first responders in case of fire, presence of unauthorized persons, or other foreseen emergencies. Detains persons who may be involved in illegal acts for the purpose of notifying the law enforcement authorities. Investigate and record all unusual occurrences and incidents within the gaming facility. Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at Casino to maintain orderly flow. Promotes superior customer service. Responds to all medical calls on tribal property. The EMT’s first responsibility on these calls is to assess the patient, stabilize, and, if necessary, request a higher level of support (ALS or Advanced Life Support) through another agency. Public Safety EMTs are BLS or Basic Life Support certified and will assess and treat to the level of their certification. Routinely inspects the medical bags, replenishes necessary supplies, and conducts an inventory of the supply cabinet to ensure proper accountability.Performs dispatch duties including but not limited to:
- Monitors activities on radio and surveillance equipment and silent alarm systems.
- Receives and records incoming and outgoing calls on the telephone and radio.
- Dispatches appropriate staff and equipment during routine and emergency calls.
- Relays questions or instructions from remote units.
- Coordinates all police, fire, ambulance, and other emergency activities.
- Issues and receives public safety passes and maintains visitor logs.
Possesses knowledge of Casino services and promotions and the location thereof. May be required to carry a weapon as instructed by the Director of Public Safety. Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment. Must follow departmental and company policy to set an example as a public safety officer. Essential Emt Responsibilities Include Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priority for required emergency care. Renders emergency medical care to adult, infant, and child, medical and trauma patients, including but not limited to:- Opening and maintaining an airway
- Ventilating patients
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including the use of automated external defibrillators
- Assisting in childbirth
Provides pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system traumas such as:- controlling hemorrhage(s)
- bandaging wounds
- immobilizing painful, swollen, and deformed extremities
Searches for medical identification emblems as a clue to providing emergency care. Provides additional care based on an assessment of the patient and historical information, including:- Assisting patients with prescribed medications, including sublingual nitroglycerin, epinephrine auto-injectors, and hand-held aerosol inhalers
Reassures patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of the company.

Requirements Job Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a High School Diploma or GED/equivalent. Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License Experience as an EMT, public safety officer, security officer, law enforcement officer, or military service member is preferred. Must have completed the requirements to obtain the National Registry EMT Certificate along with possessing a valid State of California EMT License and a BLS/CPR provider card. Must possess a valid State of California Guard Card and be able to obtain a gaming license. Must have command of the English language and be computer literate. Employees working in the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet/or humid conditions and extreme cold (air conditioning) or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Casino is open 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all shifts. The Casino is a gaming facility and is not a smoke-free environment.
