Job Description

Job Summary

The Publication Specialist coordinates the course and program content publication, including course curriculum and assessments. The Publication Specialist works with a team of publication assistants to ensure a quality product is released on time, adhering to established publication and quality assurance processes.

Location: This position requires you to work at our headquarters, 4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, UT 84107. You would work a hybrid schedule in the office 4 days a week with one day remote.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 Coordinates publication projects for multiple colleges, which includes publishing new content and updating existing content.Responds to and incorporate student and staff feedback into courses and assessments.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain courses and assessments.Ensures quality assurance processes are completed prior to the launching course enhancements.Works with development teams to develop production schedules and publication tasks, ensuring a successful launch.Monitors the work quality of the publication team and provides feedback to ensure quality products are published.Provides training to team members on systems use and publication processes.Creates documentation for publication processes and training.Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.Tracks and manages system repairs and enhancements.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.Ability to problem solve.Detail-oriented approach.Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects.Ability to manage vendor relationships.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GEDThree years of experience in administrative work, data entry, or a related area, which includes data entry and coordinating projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field of studyExperience with software testing and quality assuranceExperience working with software development vendors

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
