The St. Louis Cardinals Publications Department is seeking enterprising and energetic students for their Vendor Internship program, which will take place during the 2025 baseball season (regular and potential postseason). This internship enables participants to manage and grow sales of the team's flagship publication, Cardinals Magazine, as well as the Cardinals Yearbook and Scorecard, by serving as game day vendors and sales strategists at Busch Stadium. Through this internship, students will acquire hands-on sales and marketing experience through duties that include, but are not limited to, development\/implementation of team-wide sales techniques and strategies, culminating with the presentation of a season-end analysis of the department's overall performance.\n
Students must be available to work at least 90 percent of the Cardinals home games starting in April through at least mid-August (averaging four hours per game) and provide postgame reports from each game as assigned. Internship could be extended through the end of postseason play.\n
Job Duties:\n\nSell products at gates during games, with occasional assignments observing other vendors to aid in developing an effective, team-wide sales approach.\n Adjust \"in the moment\" to day-of-game crowd trends to maximize sales opportunities, while bringing an engaging, vocal \"presence\" to sales booth.\nContinually assess promotional efforts and review ongoing sales data to aid in the formulation and execution of fresh sales and marketing strategies and make adjustments to existing methods.\nMeet regularly with the Publications Department for guidance and discussion regarding the state of in-park sales throughout the season.\nAssist the Publications Department with any other administrative and\/or game day duties as assigned.\n\n
Education and Experience Required:\n\nCurrent enrollment at an accredited college or university with a minimum junior level status, with a major in Sports Business Management, PR, Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.\nPrior retail\/customer service experience with superior organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and money-management skills.\n
