**Location: UK Remote, some travel to our offices in Oxford or London may be required**
**Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (Feb – Dec 2025)**

**About the Role**
We’re seeking a proactive Publishing Support Specialist with a blend of print and digital skills and strong organisational capabilities. Marketing communications experience would be a plus.
This fixed-term opportunity will initially focus on our BTEC National paid-for resources, due for publication in spring 2025 and for first teaching in September 2025. Future projects may involve reviewing and updating existing resources.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Editorial Management**
+ Identify and manage suitable suppliers for new projects.
+ Adapt briefs, templates, and documentation for print and digital content creation.
+ Manage supplier contracts, purchase orders, and payments through Pearson systems.
+ Support freelancers with secure system access and troubleshooting.
+ Conduct and oversee editing and proofreading to ensure consistency and quality.
+ Collaborate with the rights and permissions team to clear content rights.
+ Partner with the digital team to ensure resources are published and thoroughly tested.
+ Provide marketing insights to communicate product benefits effectively.
**Commissioning Support**
+ Assist in researching customer needs and creating compelling business cases.
+ Collaborate with suppliers to develop content that supports learners and educators.
+ Use Oracle systems to manage publication data (training provided).
**Quality Management**
+ Test sample materials with learners, providing feedback for improvements.
+ Supervise freelance editorial work and improve authoring processes.
+ Innovate workflows for continuous quality enhancement.
**Market Knowledge**
+ Stay updated on educational trends to design user-friendly, impactful resources.
+ Share insights from customer and competitor research to inform team strategies.
