The PubSec Field Inside Account Executive - Higher Education’s purpose is to build a book of business and sell to SHI’s customers within an assigned territory within Public Sector. The PubSec Field Inside Account Executive - Higher Education will profile accounts through cold calling and prospecting while developing and maintaining customer relationships in their territory.   

 

This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Include, but are not limited to:  

Profile accounts through cold calling and prospecting  Establish and develop customer relationships via email, phone, and in-person meetings within assigned book(s) of business  Help customers select, deploy and manage various aspects of their IT environment  Quote and place orders based on customer requests  Grow existing active buying accounts through profiling and managing projects through the entirety of the sales cycle  Consistently hit daily and monthly activity goals: monthly meetings, monthly pipeline additions, and daily dials and talk time  Retire monthly/quarterly production quota  Facilitate customer meetings by proactively reaching out to customers and pre-scheduling the meeting with SHI internal resources  Acquire and manage the IT needs of medium to large businesses while providing customers with a best-in-class customer experience   Collaborate and co-sell with SHI internal resources  Resolve customer inquiries, determine customer pain points and offer solutions to solve customer IT challenges  Utilize internal sales tools, including our customer relationship management (CRM), Public Sector resource planning and quote creation tool  Provide customers insight around industry leading technology and IT trends  Keep updated on product and industry knowledge  Master SHI systems and tools for quoting, ordering and sourcing  Attend product and sales trainings as required   Qualifications Completed Bachelor’s Degree (College/University) or relevant work experience required  A minimum of 2 years of Customer Service and/or Inside Sales Experience  Proficiency in business productivity tools (Microsoft) - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint   Required Skills Ability to cold call and create new business  Ability to grow existing customer relationships  Ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly  Experience managing account portfolios.  Passion for customer outreach and delivering a personalized customer service experience  Desire to learn and a successful track record  Superior organization skills and project/time management abilities  Strong communication and presentation skills  A linear, logical thinking style with ability to break down and solve difficult problems  Excellent communications skills with ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders  Emotional intelligence, flexible work style, and excellent diplomatic skills across all levels of the organization  Ability to give and receive constructive feedback

 

Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 which includes a base salary and commission. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
