The PubSec Field Technical Strategist, Microsoft will be responsible for supporting the Microsoft Account Executive and Field Account Executive while providing the customer with technical guidance when implementing and consuming Microsoft Technologies. The role is centered on pre-sales activities, emphasizing added value and service offerings for medium to large healthcare institutions.

 

The PubSec FTS, Microsoft will report to the PubSec FTS Manager - Microsoft. PubSec FTS, Microsoft is expected to spend time interfacing and building relationships with existing and potential , the MS Account Executive team, other internal support organizations, and Microsoft. They will provide support in identifying new opportunities, networking, and following up on potential leads. The PubSec FTS, Microsoft must be a continuous learner and curious about current and future Microsoft technologies.

Include, but are not limited to:

 

Build and maintain relationship with Microsoft Customer Technical SpecialistsCollaborate on and advise on RFPs, SOWs, and other customer documents as neededIdentify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to drive customer SHI valueLead internal training sessions on MS technology from engineering and sales perspectivesCollaborate with Microsoft support resources with goal of efficient and accurate customer communicationAct as liaison between Microsoft Account Executive (MAE), Field AE and SHI professional services teamCollaborate with sales teams on strategic customer planning and opportunity developmentConsult on Microsoft products, implementation, and adoption strategiesRecommend third party solutions when best for customerDevelop demos for popular Microsoft use cases to drive professional services engagements, licensing upsells, and customer adoptionAchieve technical and administrative MS Certifications as neededDocumentation and updates of opportunities within corresponding SHI internal tools Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience5+ years background administering Microsoft technology, outside sales or equivalent technical experience2+ years of experience selling, presenting to, or supporting C-Level Executives. 2+ years of experience preparing proposals and sales strategies for various prospectsPublic Sector Sales Experience Preferred Experience working with various aspects of technology in an enterprise healthcare environmentExperience with enterprise healthcare environment technical design and the importance and variation of infrastructure, architecture, networking, security and impact on patient experience. Experience with HIPAA, NIST, HHS CPG, ARPA-H and other relevant industry standards, compliance and initiatives Required Skills Ability to self-study and engage in independent work to increase job related knowledge and skillsHighly motivated and organizedAbility to multitask and prioritize accordinglyExcellent communication, collaborative, and presentation skillsStrong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skillsHighly focused on customer solutions and satisfactionStrong consultative sales skillsAbility to facilitate technical discussions and break down complex solutionsKnowledge of Epic, Oracle Cerner, Meditech, and/or other EHR systems, medical IoT/MDM, virtual health workflows and implementation within healthcare environments Certifications Required 2x Associate Level+ Microsoft Certifications

Ongoing Certification Requirements:

Acquire accreditations and meet other training requirements throughout the lifetime of the role. This may involve healthcare specific certifications. Unique Requirements Overnight travel may be required.Position requires travel to company events and meetings Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
