POSITION SUMMARY
As a supervisor level in the Finance department, the Accounts Receivable & Sales Reporting Supervisor will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Sales reporting department within Finance and make decisions concerning credit limits, acceptable levels of risk and terms of payment to their customers.  The Accounts Receivable & Sales Reporting Supervisor will ensure timely and accurate sales reporting, reconciliation of related sales and receivables accounts, and associated ledger adjustments. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Reconciliate and completes ledger activity for sales and accounts receivable accounts.  Maintain accurate sales reports by customer, present and develop reporting to meet the sales teams needs.  Reviews the evaluations of creditworthiness of both new and existing customers;  analyze  customer financials strengths and weaknesses via third party credit reports and financial statements.  Works with and provides ongoing training to the members of the credit team towards achieving goals and objectives; measures performance with appropriate metrics for calculating quarterly incentives Approves set up of new customers and any significant changes in customer set up resulting from mergers, acquisitions, changes in ownership of our customers Review "High Risk" accounts in collaboration with Accounts Receivable Team and key personnel(s) to account with high past due balances, changes in payment behavior and DSO trends. Maintains strong cash flows and efficient collection processes. Implements controls and process improvements over cash management and the centralization of cash control processes as related to credit and collections.  Performs accounts receivable activities including daily and month end reporting, order releases, managing credit reporting service relationships, collection agency work, and assisting with legal issues (i.e bankruptcies)  Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related business field  One (1) year experience in accounts receivable within a manufacturing environment Three (3) years combination of Accounting, AR and Credit experience Sales reporting experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA’s)

Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to discern a company’s financial strengths and weaknesses by reviewing its balance sheet and income statement.  The ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner both verbally and in writing Strong attention to detail Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate up, down and across the organization
