POSITION SUMMARY
This position will report to the Distribution Controller and will be responsible for Weekly accounting functions.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Prepare and ensure accurate accounting reporting for the plant including plant direct weekly inventory balancing and CHEP weekly inventory balancing Process plant direct purchase orders (POs); record and track POs; enter and process credit and debit memos for sales Prepare and enter statistical reports and journal entries including payroll journal entry and reconciling; load reconciliations and accrual setups Prepare period close journal entries including other withholdings and sales tax reconciliation, journal entries and payroll accruals Generate and analyze reporting on key performance indicators (KPI’s), to identify trends; recommend and communicate improvement opportunities to stakeholders. Order shipping; enter invoices; track transactions related to inventory hedging and distribution of co-pack production Enter raw material journal entry coding in JDE; straight load daily processing Provide backup to inventory balancing, shuttle freight processing, laundry balancing and accruals Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's in Accounting Two (2) years’ accounting experience

Experience with MS Office includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to be able to issues and solve problems independently Ability to work well under time and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of Ability to maintain good working relationships with carriers other employees Ability to be attentive in meetings in a professional manner. (i.e. on site meetings, off site meetings, dinners, etc.) Ability to function as a team player

 

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Work in an environmentally controlled office environment. Infrequent travel (less than 10% of the time) such trips may include overnight stays and/or air travel.
