Main purpose:
Identify and explore opportunities to improve product design and production processes for packaged meats and prepared meals at a global scale. Leverage insights from sensory department, interal and external benchmarking, preference mapping analysis, formula optimization, complying with the relevant legislation in the country, within Sigma's policies and guidelines, in order to meet the technical requirements to achieve the consumer preference and fulfill our purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with innovation/marketing to understand the requirements requested by the customer / consumer and the strategic positioning of each product.
* Perform benchmarking analysis between Sigma's business units comparing equipment, operating conditions and fixed costs for families of similar products
* Benchmark Sigma's business units to seize opportunities in meat raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
* Support the GSO, supply, and procurement deparments for the development of suppliers, meat raw materials, and ingredients.
* Support product design departments in each OU for the development of new products and applications of new ingredients and packaging that provide competitive advantages.
* Analyze product placement and ICCO to discover insights about preferred characteristics and their relationship with process variables.
* Get training and support to disseminate knowledge to OU managers in product design with the institutional tools for this area.
* Support the analysis of troubleshooting conformance by using institutional tools as DTV (design to value), recipe optimization (Sirius / CFM), process consulting, among others.
* Support key strategic global projects that include new products/process technologies, contingencies strategies, efficiency projects, and footprint optimization.
