POSITION SUMMARY

As a team member of the Supply Chain Department, the Product Manager will administer finished good inventory. The Product Manager will create and enhance forecast models, analyze information, and provide insight to make informed decisions regarding inventory levels, delivery times and service level evaluations. This role will collaborate with internal departments, such as raw material procurement, manufacturers, production facilities, Marketing, Innovation, and Sales.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Create, determine, and implement process improvements to maintain optimum inventory levels at production facility; maintain adequate inventory and production level for orders; manage the process of service level, material coverage, inventory, and production control Manage communications with sales and production teams ensuring product orders are produced and filled with minimal shortages. Collaborate with and maintain production schedule forecast models and report variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with Sales Team. Communicate schedule and changes with internal departments. Develop planning tools in collaboration with Raw Material Procurement to plan and determine aged materials to finished goods production. Implement internal techniques and procedures to manage the company’s planning and structuring of finished goods inventory Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Accounting Three (3) years of Management experience, Scheduling, Inventory Management

 

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Accounting Five (5) years of experience in meat industry Experience with Supply Chain

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITITES (KSA’s)

Working knowledge of SAP Working knowledge of sales, marketing, and demand planning Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, proficiency with Data Analysis, Pivot tables, and complex graphs Familiarity with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost to serve analysis. Knowledge of product management methodologies, concepts, processes, and documentation. Ability to manage tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work independently Knowledge of supply chain functions, forecasting tools/software Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines through sound project management, prioritization.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Office setting environment with exposure to noise, equipment, and machinery. Able to sit for long periods of time.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
