POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring proper recording and presentation of all financial transactions within sales regions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  The Accountant will prepare and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results for sales, executive, and finance management. The position serves as the primary point of finance/accounting support for the Sales Division.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist, coordinate, and accumulate all financial deliverables with the sales teams, including weekly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports, reconciliations, annual plan, weekly & quarterly forecasts, sales objectives & incentives, month end close, audits and promotional activity. Prepare and record monthly variance analyses, credit memos, review region P&L’s, record period closing entries and monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Primary accounting resource to the sales force on accounting and finance matters for all assigned regions Corroborate and validate promotion values and classification based on support provided by the sales force, including reviewing and activating all approved promotional activities in the promotion management system (TPMS). Work with sales teams to review check requests with supporting documentation on a weekly basis. Includes verifying proper coding within the general ledger. Participate and implement process improvements processes based on external/internal reviews/audits. Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Finance, or relevant field in addition to experience. One (1) year of general accounting or audit experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Experience with pivot tables and excel formulas used to organize large data sets. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’s) Strong attention to detail, data accuracy and an inquisitiveness to determine explanations, with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of information/analyses into a cohesive story/recommendation. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to write in a clear and concise manner. Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to build professional relationships with senior operations/sales management and cross functional teams. The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently. Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results for the Sales Division. Ability to work within a matrix organization. Ability to apply professional judgement when reviewing support is key and must have critical thinking skills. Ability to research and identify financial variances from expected results. Must be able to adapt to a changing environment and reprioritize accordingly. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.

 

COMPENSATION

$61,923-$77,000 annual salary, depending on geography, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is eligible for an incentive bonus, based on achievements of company targets and individual performance expectations
