RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified part-time Pulmonary Function Tech in Eatontown, NJ.

Qualifications:

Required:

Graduate of an AMA approved Associate s or Bachelor s Degree granting program in Respiratory CareRegistered Respiratory Therapist as determined by the National Board for Respiratory CareLicensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey Board of Respiratory CareBLS - AHA approved requiredNJ Respiratory Care License requiredCertified Respiratory Therapist

Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift, 16 hours/weekPart Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

Perform pulmonary function tests, such as spirometry, lung volumes, and cardiopulmonary exercise tests, according to department and ATS standardsOperate, monitor, and maintain equipment used in pulmonary testingCalibrate instruments and analyze and troubleshoot equipment malfunctionsExplain testing procedures to patients, educate patients on how to use pulmonary equipment, and monitor patients' diagnostic and therapeutic progressCommunicate with other patient care team members to ensure continuity of careMaintain equipment and supplies for testing in lab
