Pulper Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for loading and unloading of all raw materials, and operations of the Pulper and other equipment. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation of the Pulper process and its complexities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in the unloading of glass fiber and resin trucks. (As of 01/06/2020) Correctly obtain all required supplies, and labels and apply per product specification. Conduct visual inspections of all raw materials to ensure quality. May require up to 90% of forklift operation. Monitor and make necessary adjustments to ensure the accuracy of the chemicals in the Pulper System and chemical feed tanks. Operate Pulper System manual when needed. Understand and operate the fiber system program. Assist in the processing Bills of Ladings for return containers of raw material products. (As of 01/06/2020) Knowledge and understanding of the resin-loading storage tank system. Maintain a properly cleaned area in and around the raw Material Warehouse, Dispersion Tanks, and Resin tanks. Must work in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production, and performance expectations are met. Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times and reporting any environmental incidents to their Supervisor. Participation and completion of required EH&S training. Assist in observing and ensuring that all truck drivers are following plant safety procedures in unloading areas. Responsible for maintaining the 5S system. Responsible for performing assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructions. Responsible for performing assigned duties until properly relieved. Performs related miscellaneous work as required, and as instructed by other supervisors.

Mobile Equipment, Plant Cranes & Misc. Equipment Scanners, Computers, Printers, Phones, Cameras, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Safety Equipment, Quality Equipment

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve fiberglass, glycerin, latex, and formaldehyde. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.
