General Summary
The Pump Installer is responsible for well pump repair, installation and troubleshooting on water well projects.Job Accountabilities:Responsible for water pump repair, installation and troubleshootingJob preparation including assembling parts, supplies and materialsTrain Pump Technicians and maintain a safe working environmentResponsible for maintaining and repairing company issued equipmentResponsible for well rehabilitation efforts using chemicals and mechanical meansAdministrative work including reports, driving logs, timesheetsQualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalentMust possess a valid state driver’s license and Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 60 daysMust have 1-3 years previous pump installation and repair experience as Pump Installer or Pump TechnicianMust have working understanding of pumps, motors, wells, electricity, controls, piping, rigging, chemicals and well rehabilitation toolsMust be extremely safety conscious and understand hazards and dangers associated with the jobStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain company equipment including pump rig, service truck, welder, generator, hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, chain wrenches and comealongAbility to read, write and follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to problem solve when faced with obstaclesAbility to promote additional company offered servicesAbility to train new employeesMust be able to pass a drug test and fit for duty physicalComply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environmentAbility and willingness to abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct on a daily basisPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
