Punch Shear Operator - North Location

Starting Wage: $27.03 + $2.30 shift differential

Shift: D, Friday - Sunday, 6 PM - 6 AM (Work 36 hours, get paid for 40)

What you will do: 

  

Make adjustments to ensure proper machine function and performs minor maintenance such as TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) and tooling setup on machine as required  Unload trucks of steel, load material into Night Train; utilize and manager inventory storage ad retrieval system in accordance with methods and procedures  Set up and operate punch shear in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to safely and efficiently produce quality parts  Operate Toolus software/programs and is able to adjust tooling according to specific parameters  Effective use of computer to manage up time sheets, run schedules and other software related tasks to organize and maintain production standards  Set up and maintain ink jet printer to ensure proper part identification  Set up and operate panel bender in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to safely and properly form various parts  Ensure parts are positioned properly to produce parts that conform with engineering drawings.  Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction  Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation  Make adjustments on machine and programs as required; remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from work piece to comply with quality standards  Stack, mark and transport finished parts to maintain proper workflow  Responsible for maintaining the 5s program for work area  Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measure, caliper, etc.  Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production  Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area  Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.  Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards  Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements  Ability to use hand tools  Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License  All other duties as assigned 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Ability to operate hand tools  Ability to read and understand written English 

Preferred Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or GED  Previous manufacturing experience
