Due to internal growth & development, an opportunity exists with Simplot for a highly motivated people leader in the role of Purchase to Pay (P2P) Procurement Manager - APAC. In this people focused, functional leadership role, the P2P Procurement Manager will join our Asia-Pacific (APAC) Indirect Procurement team and lead a diverse team of direct reports (Buyers) in the implementation, optimisation and execution of the P2P strategy across our operations throughout the APAC region, Argentina and India whilst aligning with the Global Indirect Procurement P2P function and strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager - APAC, this Mon-Fri role will be based at our Chifley Park (Mentone) APAC headquarters, with some travel (both domestic & international) required throughout the associated work regions / countries. Simplot are open to considering candidates who reside within close proximity to our manufacturing operations (e.g. Echuca, VIC / Bathurst, NSW etc)
Day to Day Management
Provide day to day leadership to multiple direct reports (remote throughout associated work regions / countries) Lead by example to foster and drive a collaborative and functional culture Hold regular 1:1 connects with direct reports for progress updates, escalations, performance praise and improvements etc. Assume accountability among team members in meeting SLAs, targets / deadlines Onboarding / coaching / training of new members of the buyer function Establish & build trusted relationships and feedback loops with regional stakeholders
Process Development and Execution
Identify, plan and execute the programs under the P2P strategy across the functional regions tying into local regional requirements Proactively evaluate operational capabilities and risks in the P2P process to aid in driving improvement of the indirect procurement maturity model Develop, update and execute procurement P2P procurement policies Coach and provide training to support stakeholders on ERP systems Collaborate with the Global P2P Indirect Procurement team and Global Food Category Management team About You
100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace Demonstrated people leader with a servant leadership style of management - commercial/manufacturing/procurement leadership experience would be advantageous, but not essential Strong communication and collaborative partnership building skills Possess solid business acumen Knowledge of P2P procurement processes (buying / sourcing etc.) would be advantageous High level of both verbal and written communication skills MS Office suite, ERP system proficiency Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) - or related employment history combined with 3 -5 years of people leadership experience Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
