Introduction 

 

We are seeking a Purchaser to join our Pump Procurement team. You will be responsible of the execution of activities related to purchase requisitions, which involve creating purchase orders, following up on previous orders, customer follow ups, invoices and other activities related to the role. In this position, you will report to the Procurement Manager. 

 

This position is mainly located in Columbia, SC, and we offer hybrid options. However, it involves up to 10% of travel for domestic supplier visits.

You will join a team of Procurement experts committed to the purchase, delivery and Metso customer demands of the Pump business Line.

 

Our team culture is all about solving and getting things done together. The members in our team are in Columbia, SC and coordinate with different departments like Customer Service, Quality, Engineering and Production.  

 

What you’ll do:

 

 

Execute Purchase Requisitions: Efficiently create and coordinate purchase orders while ensuring timely follow-ups. Enhance Customer Relations: Connect with customers to expedite orders and address their needs. Utilize Technology: Work with tools like Jagger to confirm orders and resolve any invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable. Vendor Management: Reach out to vendors for updates and maintain solid supplier relationships. Collaborate Across Departments: Engage with Customer Service Representatives to meet customer demands effectively. 

 

Who you are:

 

Educational Background: Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field. Experience: Solid background in supply chain, purchasing, or customer service. Tech Savvy: Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems, along with Power BI and Jagger. Good Abilities: Ability to work efficiently and manage your time effectively.
