Purchaser - Central Park Boathouse

The Role
This individual will be responsible for effectively and profitably managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of purchasing for the Food and Beverage operations at The Central Park Boathouse.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating inventory/order spread sheets.
• Work with Food and Beverage management to assist with daily orders including the coordination of deliveries and product to be utilized in the café and restaurant.
• Work closely with culinary team to maximize ordering efficiency, product deliveries, and inventory allocation.
• Oversee the boathouse's day to day operation.
• Oversee AM culinary operations, ensuring policies are being followed.
• Spot check vendor invoices and pricing ensuring that legends is receiving the best possible product and the best rate.
• Monitor inventory insuring product is being rated and control spoilage.
• Take and input inventory when necessary.
• Submit bulk of daily purchasing to suppliers.
• Code all invoices to proper outlet for payment processing.
• Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.


Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Must be proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.

 

Compensation:

$26-$30/hour DOE

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands and handle controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
