POSITION SCOPE:   Purchasing and administrative support for general plant requirements.  Specific job duties are approximately 50% directly related to purchasing (items 2-7 below) and 50% related to item 1 below.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide purchasing & administrative support for general plant including processing office mail; office supplies, customer & event lunches, P-card responsibilities, clothing orders, copier service requests, electronic bulletin board, Facebook, and vending food service. Maintain vendor contact information for all buyers and vendor Certificate of Insurance list updates. Support accounting department with data entry of documents, and other duties as needed and directed. Manage PMD Purchasing email folder along with data entry of COO (Country of Origin) and weights for purchased parts as requested and general quotes for the Parts Dept. Run once a week short sheets for all jobs and save Excel files in Purchasing Folder for buyers to review. Develop full comprehension of manufacturing system's purchasing/P-card procedures.  Follow purchasing supply chain guidelines as established for this location. Complete all Supply Chain required procurement classes. Create purchase orders for services needed or supplies needed for various departments. Work schedule as required to support internal customer requirements. Perform other diversified duties, as directed, with minimum supervision.

 

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with administrative responsibilies. Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with scanning, copying, emailing, and faxing.  Experience with SAP systems beneficial.  Excellent oral and written communication skills required to service all levels of customers; ability to manage assignments with limited direction/supervision, and attention to detail is essential in all communications.                Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle many projects at one time. Ability to coordinate company-wide customer and/or employee events.

 

Pay Range:   $47,500.00 - $63,270.00
