Purchasing Administrator
Description Aston carter is partnering with a local company to add a skilled purchasing admin to their team. This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities Provide strong administrative support across all departments • Manage data, prepare reports, handle correspondence, facilitate effective communication • Coordinate with Prepress, Post Press, and Logistics Leads as well as Quality Assurance • Continuously learn, master, maintain, and optimally utilize department’s Estimating MIS • Produce accurate, timely quotes maximizing efficiencies of estimating software • Build strong rapports with sales representatives utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills, evaluating options, providing creative recommendations to best both accommodate prospective price points while minimizing waste • Master Purchasing, Inventory, and Invoicing MIS software according to established protocols • Continually procure consumables required to meet all planned printing orders • Proactively interact with vendors concerning paper production and adequate inventory • Reconcile comprehensive monthly paper roll inventories and roll valuations • Consult with vendors and sales and operations personnel across departments as necessary • Understand established customer sales, workflow, production, and delivery processes • Attend operations meetings in person or by remote video conference • Troubleshoot with appropriate support staff complex technical problems • Maintain and develop principles of Continuous Improvement • Other duties as assigned Skills Administrative support, vendor communication, procurement, inventory management, scheduling coordinating, operations planning, printing, packaging Top Skills Details Administrative support,vendor communication,procurement,inventory management,scheduling coordinating Additional Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years administrative experience • Estimating and Purchasing experience preferred • Customer service skills • Intermediate to advanced excel skills • Exceptional listening skills • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask • Ability to think and write critically, accurately, creatively, and effectively • Ability to self-train and implement multi-layered administrative software applications • Ability to work well under deadline pressure with adaptability and flexibility • Ability to work within, develop, and maintain standard operating procedures • Ability to anticipate questions and concerns • Ability to work in a work environment with high noise level. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
