Job Description
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the procurement of goods, services, and equipment to meet operational needs of all departments. This role involves providing outstanding customer service to departments and interacting regularly to understand their needs. Additionally, you will develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and communicate regularly regarding order status.
ResponsibilitiesCreation and issuance of Purchase Orders in an accurate and timely manner using the Electronic Resource Platform (ERP).Receive requests electronically, complete transactions, and follow up with internal team on any issues including back orders and shipping delays.Track order statuses.Manage and expedite execution of priority and urgent order requests.Obtain order confirmations and expected delivery dates.Follow up on open orders including tracking and verification of delivery.Assist with invoice exception resolution.Essential SkillsExperience purchasing goods in any industry, with a preference for healthcare.Experience using an ERP software.Supply Chain experience.Experience with purchase orders, SAP, MRP, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.Logistics and vendor management.Procurement experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience as a Purchasing Agent.Associates Degree required at minimum.Work Environment
The work environment is very fast-paced, requiring someone who can work under tight deadlines and pressure. The position is Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The role is based in an office setting, where you will have your own desk. There is room for growth as the company consolidates all Supply Chain functions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.04
