Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Louisville, Kentucky. The successful candidate will be expected to procure necessary supplies, materials, and services to support operations, maintain strict adherence to government policies, and ensure effective communication with vendors. Responsibilities: • Procuring necessary supplies, materials, and services for operations. • Ensuring all purchases are cost-effective and in line with government policies. • Safeguarding a timely execution of purchases to ensure efficient operation. • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of each purchase document. • Keeping up-to-date with rules and regulations related to sub-contracting, property compliance, and equipment purchasing. • Utilizing the Small Business Administration as a source for locating new vendors. • Meeting set goals for using small, woman-owned, small disadvantaged and hub zone businesses. • Creating and maintaining a database of business supplies and vendors using online sources. • Maintaining purchase order files with required documentation. • Ensuring proper archiving of all records. • Keeping track of staff, students, and property. • Promoting safety practices in all areas of responsibility. • Cultivating an environment free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is expected. • Must have experience with Epicor. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary. • Knowledge of ERP Solutions is required. • Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is a must. • The candidate should be skilled in using About Time. • Understanding and execution of Accounting Functions is required. • Must be proficient in Accounts Payable (AP). • Familiarity with Budget Processes is necessary. • Experience with Buying Processes is crucial.
