Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Miami, Florida. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for obtaining quotes from vendors, managing budgets for various projects, and tracking all outstanding purchase orders. This role primarily operates within the industry and requires expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, About Time, Buyer, Buying Processes, Component Selection, and Customer Service. Responsibilities • Obtain and negotiate quotes with various vendors • Adhere to project budgets and ensure financial discipline • Enter and track all outstanding purchase orders • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting • Leverage ERP systems for resource planning and management • Select appropriate components for projects based on requirements and specifications • Provide excellent customer service while responding to inquiries and resolving issues • Follow up on all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment • Use IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne for business process management. Requirements • Applicant must have proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. • Knowledge and experience with ERP Solutions is required. • Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is a significant advantage. • Ability to utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne effectively is necessary. • Candidate should possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience with About Time software is desirable. • The role requires previous experience as a Buyer. • Understanding and experience with Buying Processes is essential. • Proficiency in Component Selection is expected. • Excellent Customer Service skills are a must.
