Job Description

Adhering to Illumina’s Global Purchasing Policy and best practices, this position will lead supplier onboarding efforts and work closely with internal stakeholders to guide them through creating purchase requisitions and managing all issues related to purchase orders. 

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and proceduresProvide support after requisition has been issued to a purchase order to internal users as well as suppliersManage all supplier onboarding requests (indirect and direct) and all changes to supplier recordsSupport purchases outside of purchase order process such as purchase card orders; including reporting and follow up with leadershipManagement of internal ordersWork closely with fellow purchasing/sourcing team on RFQ processMonitor and expedite open orders and manage open orders, as necessaryExecute ideas for cost savings with collaboration of team membersMaintain strong collaboration with internal customers to ensure products and services are delivered at the right price, quantity, quality, and timeProvide Ariba catalog enablement support and maintenance and continuous improvement of catalog processManage backend processes such as invoice resolution issues and closing POsAdvocate and enforce the Global Purchasing PolicyMaintain methodology and tools for ongoing performance

Requirements:

Experience in Indirect Purchasing ActivitiesExperience with MRP, SAP, and Ariba is needed  Exceptional customer service skills and experienceBioscience background preferredAble to work independentlyHigh attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneouslyProven ability to negotiateIntermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suiteExcellent interpersonal and verbal communication skillsEffective verbal, written, and presentation skillsWillingness to work in shift to support US Region (No night shift required)

Experience/Education:

Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
