Purchasing Agent II
As a Purchasing Agent II, you’ll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our vendors, monitoring our vendor quality, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our vendor information. You will learn how to do all orders by SNC procedures and applicable laws. Procurements can include multiple commodities and may be higher dollar, requiring Price Analysis and PO File Documentation Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with a variety of exciting programs and platforms in the aerospace and defense industry. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. **Responsibilities:** + Solicit RFx's to Suppliers (sole/single source and competitive) + Evaluate Quotes/Proposals received + Understand techniques of a Price Analysis + Negotiate various elements of quotes/proposals + Write detailed Procurement Summaries as required + Fully document Purchase Order Files + Work closely with programs and other functional areas such as planning, operations and finance + Process RMA's (repairs) and services purchase orders. + Ensure invoices are not past due. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 2+ years of relevant experience + Higher education may substitute for relevant experience + Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education + Supply chain or logistics experience + Procurement experience **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance + Strong understand all aspects of financial and accounting related to procurement + Complete understanding of the full cycle of procurement processes \#Ll-hybrid Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
