**About the Role:**
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the **Purchasing Agent II** is responsible for purchasing materials and supplies at the most favorable terms for the organization. The Purchasing Agent II evaluates quotes, negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and materials, and tracks purchases while monitoring vendor quality. This role requires independent work as well as collaboration and contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
This position is part of the **Procurement Department** located in Loveland, Co and will be onsite.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Establishing and maintaining a supply system to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
+ Meeting with vendors or suppliers to resolve issues like missed deadlines or unsatisfactory service.
+ Negotiating with suppliers to attain the lowest possible total cost for purchased commodities.
+ Monitoring supplier performance and holding suppliers accountable for performance levels.
+ Maintaining supply system databases for sourcing, procurement lead times, order quantities, and internal delivery requirements.
+ Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
+ Leading projects designed to improve the purchasing process.
+ Ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance regulations.
+ Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs and quality requisitions.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ 7-10 years of experience in purchasing as a Buyer, Purchasing Specialist II, or Purchasing Agent (or related experience) with a two-year college or technical degree.
+ OR 5-7 years of experience with a BA/BS degree in transportation/logistics, materials, business, or a related field.
+ APICS (CPIM) and/or NAPM (C.P.M.) certification (preferred).
+ In-depth knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including MRP, inventory management, and planning systems.
+ Knowledge of supplier relationships, complex contract negotiations, JIT/demand flow philosophies, and legal issues involved with purchasing.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $74,250.00 - $86,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
