We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and supporting the material planning process. If you are ready to start your career in purchasing, we want to hear from you! **Responsibilities:** + Issue and track purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely and accurate processing. + Communicate with vendors to resolve payment delays and discrepancies. + Manage inbound raw material logistics and troubleshoot delays. + Collaborate with the Logistics Team to optimize transportation modes and control freight costs. + Optimize raw material inventory to maximize operational efficiency. + Perform data entry and analysis for inventory, cost savings, and other metrics. + Track vendor performance and assist with supplier scorecard data. + Identify areas for improvement in the inbound raw material process and lead change initiatives. + Maintain professional relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors. + Prepare and submit daily and ad hoc reports. + Make effective decisions to meet business standards. + Develop knowledge of supply chain operations and organizational awareness. + Support the development and training of new employees. **Physical Demands:** + This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions such as an office environment and indoors/outdoors, as well as physical demands such as standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
