The Position
The Purchasing Analyst will play a key role in procuring materials and goods to support Company’s activities. This role will interact with external and internal teams to procure goods, materials, and services as well as support procurement activities including price negotiations, vendor management, and spend analysis.
Responsibilities
Partner with assigned departments to understand their purchasing needs and help drive sourcing, vendor and purchasing decisions Recommend preferred vendors and consolidation opportunities Assist internal business partners with purchase requests, compile and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders Coordinate and participate in vendor business reviews Order, track deliveries, and confirm receipt of off the shelf goods and materials purchases with external suppliers and vendors Mitigate purchasing, delivery and/or lead time issues Support contract and term negotiations Collaborate with purchasing team to make decisions that improve efficiency and effectiveness of the teamRequirements:
Associate degree or equivalent, and at least 2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, purchasing role or a semi-admin role supporting life science R&D, supply chain or manufacturing departments Highly organized Self-motivated Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage timeline Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail Experience using ERP system Intermediate Excel and skillsPreferred:
