Purchasing Assistant

The Purchasing Assistant provides support to the Company’s purchasing function; to purchase products and packaging materials according to company specifications, to assist the Purchasing Manager in the preparation of necessary documents for all purchases and to handle the logistics from seller to the company warehouse.
Duties:
To maintain records of purchases and trade files To assist the Purchasing Manager in preparation of reports as requested by the Executive Board To record and maintain files for supplier database, prices and specs for both suppliers and customers To preserve and update electronic files such as import stats, historical purchases, BOC and BIR related reports To prepare and circulate documents such Seafood Product Requisition (SPR), Purchase Orders (PO), Discharge Information Sheet (DIS) and Goods Deposit Slip (GDS) To follow up on orders and shipping documents to ensure that products are delivered on promised dates To assist in the preparation of documentary requirements for government agencies such as BFAR, BFAD and BOC To update calendar of arrivals of imported shipments and deliveries of local shipments To update SAP database for vendors and item master data To coordinate quality issues and secure corrective actions with the suppliers To monitor and ensure prompt payments to suppliers To perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
