Job Description

The Purchasing Controlling team is looking for a passionate and driven new colleague to join us in Lousado! In this exciting role, you will take on a high level of ownership and play a key part in shaping our success, primarily in the Non-Production Material (NPM) controlling area, but with opportunities to contribute beyond.

What will you be driving in this role? Your contribution will directly support strategic decisions and shape the financial transparency of our global purchasing activities.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

NPM Reporting

You will manage monthly reporting activities (Plan/Forecast/YTD) for global Non-Production Material (NPM) and investment saving actions. This includes monitoring predefined KPIs and preparing both regular and ad-hoc analyses to support transparency and decision-making.

NPM Targets Setting

You will coordinate and consolidate budget planning for NPM and related saving actions, ensuring consistency across different organizational levels.

NPM Consultancy

You will act as a key contact for Continental’s NPM management (Heads, Regions, Clusters, Category Managers) on operational financial topics. Your role includes providing analytical support and highlighting financial risks and opportunities in day-to-day operations, as well as contributing to strategic purchasing decisions from a financial perspective.

Project Management

You will participate in major NPM-related projects, either as a project manager, team member, or subject matter expert. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of KPI concepts and help improve controlling processes and guidelines within the NPM area.

Support & Backup Tasks

As part of the Purchasing Controlling team, you will also support backup activities for regular tasks in production material and cost center controlling, contributing to team stability and continuity.

 

Qualifications

 

University degree in the field of Finance / Economics or comparable qualification;More than 4 years of work experience in Controlling, ideally in Purchasing, Manufacturing or Business Area Controlling;Excellent knowledge of MS Office package: expert in Excel. Advanced know-how of Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate desirable;Good knowledge of financial and controlling systems (SAP/ SAP BW)Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken minimum B2 of CEFR);Strong analytical skills;Excellent communication and presentation skills;High ability to work in a (virtual) team and intercultural competence;This position is to be performed in the scope of hybrid working model.
