The Role

 

The successful candidate will support businesses purchasing needs focused on Chemicals (raw materials) and equipment, services, and supplies. They will help maintain our supply of inventory to all departments to ensure that the company has the supplies and materials it needs to operate, while also managing costs and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers. This role will also be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures and ensuring the procurement processes align with the company’s standards and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Create purchase orders, make changes and expedites ordersProblem solve any issues independentlyPrepare and maintain purchasing records, files, and lists. Identifies procurement savings opportunities, executes where appropriate or reports them to Purchasing ManagementSchedule and verify purchase deliveries, and interact with suppliers to resolve shipping issuesAnswer incoming phone calls for companyMaintain visitor logAssists with maintaining stock of office supplies and break room suppliesAll other reasonable duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

High school degree/GED required; an associate degree preferred.Strong Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.3-5 years of office experienceStrong communication skills, verbal and written and independent ability to solve problems.Strong time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks, set deadlines and work well with others required.Teamwork, integrity, and accuracy of work required.SAP or other ERP experience a plusThis is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

PAY RANGE: The pay range for this role is estimated at $23.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. with actual wage based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
