Purchasing Coordinator

Be apart of something great! **Position Highlights** **Position Summary:** The Purchasing Coordinator will work with other buyers, requisitioners, and staff throughout the Avera Heart Hospital to procure materials, equipment, and services for the hospital while consistently following Supply Chain policies and practices. Product standardization and contract compliance will be a major focus along with providing customer service to internal staff. The Purchasing Coordinator will guide and assist end users requesting new products by giving them the comparable contracted items. The Purchasing Coordinator will guide the Avera Heart Hospital buyers and requisitioners to the appropriate contracts or products when assistance is needed. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the standard items purchased and enforce appropriate distribution channels so costs are kept to a minimum and contracts are adhered to. The Purchasing Coordinator will need to have very effective communication methods to reach all stakeholders internal and external. This position will communicate regular updates on progress back to Avera Heart Hospital leadership through the Purchasing Director. This role will assist the buyers on day-to-day issues and training of best practices. **Work Schedule:** Monday - Friday 8-4:30 pm. **Education/Experience:** Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years of related experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials management or project management required.
