Description
We are offering a contract, potential contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is integral to our operations within the energy technologies industry, managing the procurement and logistics of spare parts to ensure timely customer deliveries. You will liaise with suppliers, sales teams, and our Energy Spare Parts team to meet our stringent quality, cost, and availability standards.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage the purchasing and delivery of components for product orders, collaborating with both internal and external teams
• Handle requests for quotations to suppliers, frequently comparing prices, selecting suppliers, and making critical decisions
• Oversee delivery timelines and effectively communicate any changes to all relevant parties for smooth coordination with Suppliers and Sales
• Assist in choosing transportation methods and delivery terms, ensuring their strict adherence
• Maintain a commitment to improving customer service quality and regularly update on deliveries
• Identify and resolve issues related to stock levels
• Support the quality and timeliness of deliveries, approve invoices, and keep accurate records of orders and their statuses
• Promote a safe, detail oriented environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines
• Maintain detail oriented standards, especially regarding ethical and confidential matters
• Utilize various software including AutoCad, Infor LN, Salesforce, and excel in managing data logs and order entries.
Requirements • Proficient in CRM tools for efficient customer relationship management
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for streamlining business processes
• Experience in using ERP solutions for managing various business operations
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) for effective business management
• Ability to work with IBM AS/400 for system administration and operations
• Experience with About Time software for project management
• Skilled in performing various accounting functions
• Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Understanding of budget processes for financial planning
• Knowledge about buying processes and their implementation
• Proficient in AutoCAD for designing and drafting
• Familiarity with Salesforce Platform for customer relationship management
• Experience in handling purchase orders and their processing
• Skilled in procurement methods and strategies
• Proficiency in logistics operations for efficient supply chain management
• Knowledge about logistics & distribution for ensuring smooth delivery processes.
