Job Description:
Prysmian Group Netherlands is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Purchasing Intern to join our procurement team. This internship opportunity will provide valuable hands-on experience in the field of purchasing and supply chain management. As a Purchasing Intern, you will work closely with our procurement professionals and contribute to the efficient and effective procurement processes of the company.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the sourcing and selection of suppliers/vendors, including conducting research, obtaining quotes, and evaluating supplier capabilities.Support the creation and issuance of vendor forms and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.Maintain and update purchasing records, databases and documentation.Assist in reviewing contractual terms and conditions of agreements with suppliers.Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the procurement function.Adhere to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and procedures.Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate degree program in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.Willingness and ability to learn and take on new responsibilities.Strong analytical and quantitative skills to work with numbers and analyze data.Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
