PCA is seeking a customer focused, detail-oriented purchasing intern. This will be a learning and development position. As an intern with PCA, the selected individual will work closely with all members of the department. Duties include problem resolution, transaction follow-up, customer communication and process improvement. Candidate will utilize supply chain principles, procure-to-pay knowledge and theories within a consolidated, centralized purchasing environment using PeopleSoft applications.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 is required.
Must be a permanent U.S. resident, requiring no sponsorship.
The successful candidate is a recent graduate and/or currently attending a participating University (Mississippi State University, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of South Alabama) in their sophomore year pursing a degree in supply chain management or related majors.
Exhibit excellent communication, analytical and computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point) the selected individual will be required to interface with department staff and hourly personal and must have strong interpersonal skills.
Self-starter and be able to work on projects and interpret results with little oversight.
Experience with work requiring strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and possess critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Candidate must be adaptable, flexible in a continually changing fast-paced environment while maintaining customer focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any previous industrial exposure is of benefit.
