Purchasing Manager
Coordinate with Production Manager and Operations Manager on the products necessary to keep work moving forward. Work with scheduler to ensure raw materials are provided to production in a timely manner for fabrication and to ship to our customer.

Direct Hire position$65,000.00 to $85,000.00 /annuallySalariedVerifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives. Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery. Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department. Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders. Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation. Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts. Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services.Create daily and weekly production reportsPurchasing Manager Qualifications:
Strong understanding of inventory controls, purchasing processes, and vendor relationship management.Ability to coordinate effectively with production and operations managers to ensure timely procurement of materials.Proficiency in preparing and verifying purchase orders, specifications, and prices.Experience in monitoring and expediting supplier orders and resolving shipment errors.Skills in analyzing data to provide purchasing planning and control information.Knowledge of supplier evaluation based on price, quality, service, and reliability.Ability to negotiate and administer supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Strong organizational skills, including document management and reporting.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
