Purchasing Manager

The Purchasing Manager will manage the strategic direction, inventory planning, and day to day purchasing activities. With their team, this role will proactively research savings opportunities, maintain responsible inventory levels, source alternative suppliers, and report on key departmental KPI’s. **Essential Functions:** Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following: + Manages, mentors, and leads a team, both remote and on-site. + Develops SOP’s to ensure all are meeting ethical standards and have met routine training requirements. + Measures success against organizational KPI’s. + Provides weekly/monthly reporting to Sr Director of Supply Chain. + Creates opportunities to apply problem solving principles through proactive collaboration. + Reviews the MRP for demand gaps and purchasing efficiencies. + Creates scorecards and standards for quarterly evaluation of vendors for quality, communication, on time delivery, and price. + Oversees sourcing opportunities for the purpose of cost savings, quality, risk mitigation, etc. + With their team, represents DRB in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers. + Management of inventory levels including product lifecycle to optimize free cash flow. + Takes ownership for the long-term functional strategy and operational direction of the department. + Uses ERP system data to perform analysis and execute on departmental priorities. **Qualifications and Requirements:** + **Education** : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, etc. preferred. + **Experience** : A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing management. A minimum of 7 years of direct purchasing experience. Familiarity with manufacturing, assemblies, pieces, and parts. Experience managing an annual spend of >10M. + **Computer** **Skills** : Microsoft office applications. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel required. ERP experience required. + **Certificates** , **Licenses** , **Registrations** : APICS/ASCM or ISM certifications preferred. + **Other** : Valid United States Driver’s license.
