We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our organization's procurement processes, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost-effective purchasing strategies.

Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with organizational goalsLead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementNegotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and quality standardsAnalyze market trends, supply chain risks, and opportunities to inform procurement decisionsManage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to paymentCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and servicesImplement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practicesUtilize ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and enhance data-driven decision-makingMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on procurement activities and cost savingsEnsure compliance with local and international procurement regulations and standards

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record of successStrong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a teamExpertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiationProficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial managementAdvanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approachOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsIn-depth understanding of supply chain management principles and best practicesKnowledge of industry-specific procurement practices and international trade regulationsProfessional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
